About the job
The Social Department includes an assessment service, the social service for children and adolescents, the social service for adults, the central services, the social audit office, the health promotion specialist unit, and the employment integration specialist unit.
For the assessment service, we are looking for a social worker starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks:
- Initial assessment, networking, coordination, and initiation of immediate measures in the areas of social assistance and adult protection
- Assessments in the area of adult protection on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB)
- New admissions and eligibility clarification of social assistance applications
- Advice and support for individuals on material, financial, legal, and personal issues with the goal of professional and social integration
You bring:
- Degree in Social Work (University of Applied Sciences or University)
- Several years of professional experience in statutory social assistance and/or adult protection
- Comprehensive knowledge of subsidiarity and social insurance issues
- Teamwork skills, flexibility, resilience, quick comprehension, as well as good organizational and administrative work methods
- Communication and conflict resolution skills, initiative, and innovativeness
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
