The Justice and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For the employees of JuWe, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed offenses and the prevention of recidivism is of particular importance.
The Measures Center Uitikon (MZU) is the socio-pedagogical-therapeutic competence center of JuWe for the execution of sentences and measures for juvenile and young adult offenders.
For our closed department, we are looking for a committed, innovative, and open personality as a trainer in the carpentry workshop starting from September 1, 2025, or by agreement.

For our closed department, we are looking for a committed, innovative, and open personality as a trainer in the carpentry workshop starting from September 1, 2025, or by agreement.
This is your area of responsibility
- In this position, you will be responsible for the practical vocational training and individual support of several young offenders
- You will independently and proactively plan and organize work preparations
- Through targeted pedagogical guidance, you will promote the professional and social skills of the youth
- You will actively accompany the young offenders in the career choice process and support them in their professional orientation
- You will regularly assess the work of the youth through weekly and monthly qualifications
- To document the development process, you will write meaningful progress reports
- Additionally, you will work on various customer projects and actively contribute your professional skills and experience
What you bring with you
- A completed training as a carpenter EFZ forms the basis of your professional qualification
- You have the SVEB training or are willing to complete it in the near future
- Several years of professional experience in a carpentry workshop distinguish you
- You already have experience in training and supporting apprentices
- Your German language skills are fluent and stylistically confident – both spoken and written
- You feel secure in handling MS Office applications
- You are physically and mentally resilient and maintain an overview even in challenging situations
- Communication strength and social competence are among your personal strengths
- You have a positive attitude towards juvenile offenders and young adults
- Your character reference is impeccable, and you are at least 28 years old
