Why We are Recruiting

The primary goal of the initiative is to help manufacturing companies reconfigure their operating systems to achieve transformational impact on productivity, sustainability and resilience. The initiative will:

  • Capture learnings on operating systems based on best-in-class industrial companies and thought leaders from academia

  • Develop frameworks to help manufacturers transform their operating systems with digital and sustainability aspects at their core to accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing and drive responsible industry transformation

Reporting Lines & Interactions

 

The Initiative Lead will report to the Lead of Technology & Innovation and to the Centre Curator, both based in Geneva.

 

The Initiative Lead will play a key role leading the initiative and forming and facilitating engagement across the Forum's communities of business executives, leading academicians from the world's top research universities, government officials, start-up community, media and civil society organizations.

 

Breakdown of Responsibilities

  •  Organize and lead the project end to end

  • Manage the team of fellows part of the project

  • Organize, curate and lead the initiative’s community, calendar of activities, and engagement journey

  • Curate and lead the project deliverables, including identifying appropriate external and internal stakeholders, conducting thorough research, managing team members, convening and commissioning work as appropriate, etc.

  • Report and monitor project progress, impact and evaluation

  • Ensure opportunities to leverage Forum networks and events for project outcomes to be fully utilised

  • Deliver the Initiative’s outputs as agreed with the project timeline and managers

 

Requirements and Experience

  •  7-9 years of professional work experience working with public and private sectors on trade and digital economy issues

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Political Science, Business Administration or equivalent

  • Demonstrated ability to work across different cultures and sectors as a part of community management

  • Strong track record in project management, monitoring and evaluation and/or data analysis reporting preferred

  • Background in knowledge management and communications would be a valued asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
