About the job
Controller in Accounting 80 - 100%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling.
For the Finance Department, we are looking for an initiative personality as of April 1, 2026, or by agreement, who will significantly contribute to the efficient handling of the wide-ranging tasks. As a Controller in Accounting, you will be active in many areas of finance and accounting. You will actively participate in daily business, and on the other hand, you will also work conceptually and process-oriented.
Your area of responsibility
- Collaboration in general and subsidiary ledgers
- Management of cost / performance accounting and asset inventory
- Participation in the planning / budgeting process
- Ensuring system support for other SAP users
- Management of master data and interfaces
- Acting as deputy within the small team and representing the Head of Finance AJB
Your profile
- Solid commercial basic training with advanced expertise in accounting and a bachelor's degree in accounting and controlling or a related field
- Several years of proven professional experience in a similar role
- High service orientation, independence, and reliability as well as analytical and process-oriented thinking
- Structured, precise, and efficient way of working
- Result-oriented work with a high quality standard
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate openly and fluently
- Strong IT skills (MS Office and SAP)
- Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
