At the Special Education Center Hohenrain, we actively shape the future of children and adolescents with cognitive or language impairments – from kindergarten to school leaving. Together we promote their strengths and accompany them on the path to a self-determined life.
Your tasks
- With high professional competence and great commitment, you take on the pedagogical responsibility for a mixed-age class in Cycle 2 with around five students with cognitive impairments as well as on the autism spectrum.
- Through your varied learning settings and curriculum-oriented teaching, you enable individual learning approaches and thus specifically promote the strengths of the children.
- You design the support planning and reporting according to ICF in a holistic and resource-oriented manner.
- Close collaboration in an interdisciplinary team of teachers, class assistants, and specialists from therapy and social pedagogy is an integral part of your work.
- You accompany your class on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If suitable, you can take on class responsibility.
Your profile
- A completed training as a primary school teacher, ideally supplemented by special education training and/or experience in the special education field, forms the basis for this role.
- You bring great interest and joy in working with cognitively impaired and autistic children and are ready to respond individually, structured, and resource-oriented to their needs.
- You teach with joy in a multicultural and heterogeneous environment, and a motivated, positive attitude characterizes your working style.
- Your resource-, strength-, and solution-oriented approach supports both the students and teamwork. You are accustomed to conducting parent meetings and involving parents constructively in the process.
- As a committed, proactive, and humorous personality, you bring expertise and heart to everyday school life. Communication skills, conflict resolution ability, as well as empathy and assertiveness are among your strengths.
