Head of Transport (m/f/d) 100 %
As the new Head of Transport (m/f/d), you will take on a key position in our company and be responsible for the areas of transport, scheduling and assembly projects. You will be supported by a motivated and well-coordinated team, be part of the management and report directly to the business owner.
Your Tasks
- Operational and professional management of the transport department (areas of scheduling, transport logistics and assembly) with around 15 employees
- Planning and ensuring the necessary personnel and vehicle resources (scheduling for around 30 employees)
- Assistance "on the front line" and support of the team in daily business if needed (deputy scheduler)
- Further development of expert, customer- and service-oriented order and implementation management
- Ensuring successful communication management within the transport department
- Successful cooperation with other internal departments along the entire order management process
- Continuous optimization and further development of digital processes, workflows, costs and quality
- Maintenance and further development of the transport software
- Responsible for customer care, customer retention, customer development and new customer acquisition in the transport sector
- Preparation of reports and billing
- Responsible for the procurement and maintenance of the vehicle fleet (50 vehicle units) and industrial trucks
- Managing and maintaining own infrastructure
Your Profile
- Experience in the same or similar position with leadership experience (scheduling / route planning)
- Further training in transport and logistics (transport manager or similar / diploma in transport logistics / business administration at HFP / HF level)
- High affinity for IT and digital processes
- Confident handling of MS Office 365, especially Excel
- Experience in process analysis and optimization
- Excellent customer service skills and service orientation
- Agility and at the same time strong assertiveness and quality awareness
- Authentic, motivating and likeable leadership personality with strong analytical skills
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, good English skills, French is an advantage
