First-level nursing manager at the DSO Pool
To complete its team, the central Pool of the Directorate of Care (DSO) is looking for a first-level nursing manager at 80%, for a permanent contract, starting January 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of medical care, research, and training.
The central Pool of the Directorate of Care meets the needs for supplementary staff in clinical sectors to ensure continuity of care. Composed of about a hundred versatile professionals (nurses, ASSC, nursing assistants), it operates in most of the somatic services of the CHUV. It also ensures coordination with external placement agencies.
The central Pool:
- Guarantees the continuity of care according to the institution's quality and safety standards
- Actively supports clinical teams on the ground.
Every day, more than 100 requests are processed by the pool managers for all the Clinical Departments of the CHUV.
Mission
- You guarantee the quality and safety of care delivered by the Pool professionals
- You supervise the nursing team of the SPIA Pool, ensuring daily support, follow-up, and assistance
- You organize the professional development and versatility of pool members
- You coordinate the placement and management of internal and external interim interventions
- You contribute to the strategic development of the Pool, in line with the institutional orientations of the DSO.
Profile
- You hold a HES diploma in nursing or an equivalent qualification
- You have confirmed experience in team management (minimum 5 years)
- You have completed training in proximity management (CAS or DAS)
- You master common office tools (Word, Excel) and institutional professional software
- You have skills in quality and safety of care, and experience in incident analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- You are dynamic, autonomous, with good stress resistance, a sense of organization, communication, and operational coordination.
The salary class is between level 10 and 11, depending on the candidate's profile.
