The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Team Leader to join our Design Engineering team. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for adapting the design of our high-voltage bushings to meet customer requirements and creating detailed technical drawings for production. You will have the unique opportunity to see your designs come to life — from 3D models to full-scale manufacturing in our on-site production facility. Working closely with our Production and Purchasing departments, you will also contribute to the continuous optimization of our products and processes. How you'll make an impact

Professional and organizational leadership of a team of approximately 8–10 design engineers

Planning and coordination of resources as well as prioritization of ongoing projects and tasks

Main point of contact for technical questions and close collaboration with development, production, quality assurance, and project management

Ensuring high quality of drawings, models, and technical documentation

Independent handling of complex design tasks and implementation of design optimizations

Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes, standards, and tools in the CAD and SAP environment

Promotion and development of team members through targeted coaching and training measures

As People Manager, you will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines
Your background
-
Completed training as a design engineer (EFZ), technician (HF), or a degree in mechanical/design engineering

Several years of experience in mechanical design, ideally with technical insulators or similar products

Initial leadership experience or strong coordination skills

Proficient in CAD design (preferably Creo/ PTC) and experienced with SAP

Solid understanding of ISO-GPS standards for dimensional, form, and positional tolerances

Strong communication, assertiveness, and leadership enthusiasm; very good written and spoken German skills, with good English skills preferred
