Join the FIA and contribute to the technical excellence and sporting fairness of one of the most competitive and dynamic championships in the FIA Single-Seater pyramid, the Formula Regional European Championship (FREC).
As the FREC Technical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the consistent application of technical regulations across the championship. From managing homologation and scrutineering operations to supporting data analysis and technical rule development, your expertise will help safeguard fairness, innovation, and safety in junior single-seater racing.
You will act as the central point of coordination between the FIA Technical Delegate, scrutineering teams, manufacturers, and promoters, and you will contribute to shaping the future of FIA single-seater categories through active participation in technical regulation work.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TECHNICAL OPERATIONS & EVENT SUPPORT
- Supervise the FIA FREC Technical Delegate at race events to ensure compliance with technical regulations.
- Coordinate the FIA FREC Technical Scrutineers, and liaise with promoters, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Organize and issue scrutineering and technical check procedures, ensuring smooth implementation during events.
- Support data analysis and technical reporting before, during, and after events.
HOMOLOGATION & REGULATORY DEVELOPMENT
- Manage car homologation processes and maintain technical documentation.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of existing technical regulations.
- Participate in the Technical Working Group and other regulatory discussions.
- Provide input to the overall technical direction of the FIA Single-Seater pyramid.
PROFILE:
- Degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Single-Seater category.
- Good knowledge of single-seater cars and a good understanding of current technical regulations.
- Proficient in data analysis using motorsport data logging software. Capable of conducting statistical analysis and creating data visualizations for various projects.
- Experience in CAD software: 3D modeling, drafting.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- A team player with strong communication skills, able to operate effectively in a high-pressure, international motorsport environment.
