Responsibilities
- Professional diagnosis and therapy of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in neurological patients, especially those with tracheostomies
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of individual therapy plans to improve swallowing function and communication ability
- Implementation of decannulation measures in close collaboration with doctors, nursing staff, and physiotherapists
- Guidance and counseling of patients, relatives, and nursing staff in dealing with tracheostomies
- Documentation and evaluation of therapy progress according to clinical standards
What should you bring?
- Completed studies in speech therapy (with EDK recognition or willingness to obtain it)
- Certified further training in tracheostomy management
- Experience in rehabilitative therapy, dysphagia, and tracheostomy management
- Enjoy working independently and closely with patients in an interprofessional team
- Sense of responsibility, willingness to reflect, as well as high social and communication skills
- Very good oral and written German and English skills
