The Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) and the Vaud University Hospital Center (CHUV) are offering a position for a Senior Physician with the title of Associate Professor in the field of dermatopathology.

Context
The Department of Dermatology and Venereology (DER) provides clinical and laboratory dermatology services, both for CHUV and for external medical institutions, and is part of the Department of Medicine. The selected candidate will be responsible for the dermatopathology laboratory and, under the supervision of the Head of Service, will carry out teaching, research, and clinical practice missions in dermatopathology.
This position offers an academic environment of excellence, with leading clinical and research activities within a service recognized internationally. The service maintains strong ties with the departments of basic and clinical sciences. Mission
Responsibilities of the position:
- Responsible for the dermatopathology laboratory
- Responsible for the routine cutaneous biology laboratory
- Lead a research group in cutaneous biology
- Teaching pre- and post-graduate
- Outpatient dermatology consultation.
Profile
Desired profile:
- Federal Medical Diploma (or recognized MEBEKO title required) and MD or MD-PhD
- ISFM specialist or equivalent title (recognized MEBEKO required) in dermatology and venereology
- Specialized training in dermatopathology (European or Swiss competence certificate) and extensive experience in cutaneous pathology (> 5 years)
- Expertise in molecular and digital dermatopathology
- Ability to establish research programs supported by external expert funding
- Professor-level knowledge with confirmed teaching experience in pre- and post-graduate education
- Recognized managerial skills in leading and managing a research team and in international collaborations
- Good knowledge of French (LM or minimum B2, C1 ideal) or ability to acquire it quickly.
