Circle and Responsibilities
As a key member of the BLACKROLL leadership team, this role is responsible for leading the Europe EMEA organisation and beyond with a focus on driving market expansion, B2B growth including wholesale, medical professionals and clinics, physiotherapy practices, gyms, retailer partners, distributors, gym/medical channel as well as potential strategic channels such as professional sports teams and organisations.
With full P&L accountability and through end customer/consumer understanding and knowledge, create and execute the most appropriate distribution strategy by territory, region and country. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on new business development and will be responsible for opening new accounts and markets, as well as widening existing business to drive strong performance.
There is flexibility on location and where the role is based role (Switzerland or Netherlands), however the successful candidate must be willing to travel extensively as well as making monthly to visit the BLACKROLL HQ in Bottighofen, Switzerland
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction across the global wholesale organisation, as well as setting a high-performance standard and leading by example, to achieve BLACKROLL’s ambitious revenue growth plans.
- Create short, medium and long-term strategic objectives across all business areas.
- Ensure all commercial growth and change strategies are communicated to all stakeholders across the brand.
- Build the Europe EMEA wholesale organisational structure, whilst leading, coaching and enhancing the existing team, in order to create a robust and high performing business.
- Ensure a positive, collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and work environment that stimulates creative commercial thinking and innovation that drives business performance across existing and new categories, accounts and geographies.
- In conjunction with stakeholders, build all the required infrastructure and tools to provide the capability for the sales team to achieve the performance goals.
- In collaboration with the various stakeholders and functional teams, and for each market, with customers/consumers in mind, provide insight and direction into product assortment and marketing strategies.
- In conjunction with the CEO and Head People & Culture HR, evolve the structure and build succession for the wholesale team in line with performance and growth.
- Create, agree sales, measure, review and communicate to all stakeholders the commercial performance of the wholesale channel within each market.
- Be a brand ambassador, uphold brand values and be present in the markets to business develop and build new account relationships, as well as maintaining a close connection with existing accounts in each market.
Your profile
- You are currently a scrappy, dynamic, and entrepreneurial Sales Director or General Manager (or in a comparable role) in the sports, lifestyle, or health & wellbeing space.
- You're a true door opener with presence and proven experience in leading and scaling revenue across multiple markets – ideally on a global level.
- You've successfully identified new growth opportunities and launched new markets and key accounts.
- You bring a powerful mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution – you know how to design a global sales strategy and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
- You're deeply customer- and consumer-centric, with a strong product affinity and a keen understanding of trends across markets and channels.
- You’re a collaborative and proven leader with sound judgment, excellent relationship-building skills, and a strong ability to inspire and grow teams.
- You see yourself as a change agent and challenger of the status quo, bringing fresh ideas and forward momentum.
- You have strong influencing skills, are solution-oriented, and know how to navigate complex situations with confidence.
- You're culturally adaptable and bring the mental agility to pivot quickly when needed.
