About the job
Certified Social Educator (M/F) - Le Cerisier Group
What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between town and countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers the people it hosts a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a set of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It thus considers the happiness of the people it hosts as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Le Cerisier" group is a mixed living place that accommodates eight adults with intellectual disabilities in residential care. Most of them have cerebral palsy and have lived together since their adolescence. They have cognitive impairments requiring individualized support for all daily life activities. The guiding principle of this group is focused on developing autonomy and maintaining physical and mental skills to ensure a good quality of life. The educational team consists of nine professionals (educators, ASE). Special attention is paid to balance between women and men to meet mixed support needs.
The long-term commitment of the educational team members is desired as a contribution to the beneficiaries' sense of security. This commitment is part of a vision of family-type support understood as a lasting continuity of spatial-temporal and relational landmarks conducive to the psycho-affective stability of the beneficiaries. To complete the team, we are looking for a social educator or a socio-educational assistant (M/F) at 80%.
