Senior Platform Engineer (m/f)

Christian, Fred, and Pascal, along with 4 other colleagues in the Infrastructure Platform Foundation Team in Basel, are looking for reinforcement. In other words: you!

Your new job

• Work in a Scrum team as part of an agile organization to meet the needs of various BKB stakeholders
• Implementation and support together with our colleagues of the diverse IT basic infrastructure platform and its components, such as the IAM and IDP, container and virtualization platforms, data centers, Azure platform, as well as network and security infrastructure
• Automation and development of processes to further operate the IT basic infrastructure platform and actively support the organization in the transformation of our systems to the cloud
• Identification and resolution of possible problems and errors in the IT basic infrastructure platform to minimize downtime; also monitoring platform performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to ensure system performance and stability
• Stability and ensuring that the IT basic infrastructure platform meets BKB's security and data protection standards

What we benefit from

• Several years of technical experience in the development and operation of IT basic infrastructure (including cloud infrastructure)
• Solid knowledge of several of the following technologies: Entra, Active Directory, OAuth, SAML, LDAP, ADFS, Group Policies, Azure Kubernetes Service, Kubernetes, VMWare, SAN, Ansible, and Terraform
• Curiosity combined with good technical understanding of DevOps approaches, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation
• Experience with hyperscalers, ideally the Azure platform
• Preference for challenges plus independent and structured problem-solving
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
