Speech Therapist for the Pediatric Audiology Unit
The ENT and cervico-facial surgery department of the Surgery Department is looking for a speech therapist for its Pediatric Audiology Unit, at a rate between 40% and 50%, from October 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Pediatric Audiology Unit cares for children with hearing disorders, from diagnosis to school integration, including medical treatments and specialized follow-ups. The activity takes place in an interdisciplinary hospital setting, with supervision and support from experienced professionals (speech therapists and doctors).
Mission
- You coordinate speech therapy care for children with deafness
- You assess and monitor patients (children and adults) before and after cochlear implantation
- You supervise pre-implant assessments carried out at CURIC, with the possibility of continuing education in this field
- You work closely with medical, speech therapy, and paramedical teams
- You participate in continuing education through seminars, courses, and congresses
- You ensure the billing of sessions and the preparation of annual statistics.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in speech therapy
- You have at least one year of professional experience
- You have excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- You have a strong interest in the care of deafness
- A specialization in language sciences, with a focus on language and deafness, is an asset
- You are familiar with Romandy institutions specialized in the care of deaf children
- You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and in a hospital environment.
