Junior Project Controller 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

As GCB (Generator Circuit Breaker) Project Controller, you will be a part of a small and lean Business Controlling team as well as a part of PGHV pool of financial controllers. You will support project managers with financial and commercial aspects of the projects across the full project lifecycle. This role offers hands-on exposure to project controlling in a global environment, with opportunities to drive transparency, improve processes, and contribute to digitalization initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact

• Support project controlling activities across the full project lifecycle, from initiation to close-out for small-medium size projects.

• Perform project reviews in close cooperation with project managers

• Build and enhance reports and dashboards to analyze project and financial performance

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

• Execute and document SOX controls in line with internal guidelines

• Act as backup for other team members’ activities, ensuring continuity of operations

• Support internal and external audits

• Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Your background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Management accounting, or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in Controlling, preferably in a project or industrial environment

• IFRS knowledge for revenue recognition, project costs and provision's part

• A curious and proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently, challenge the status quo, and propose and implement improvements

• Strong interest in process digitalization and automation; experience with macros, basic coding, or IT tools is an advantage

• Solid knowledge of SAP, Excel, and business analytics tools is a plus

• Experience working in a global or international environment

• Fluent in English, German is a plus.
