Assistant psychologist within the University Neurorehabilitation Service
The University Neurorehabilitation Service of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) is looking for an assistant psychologist, for a workload between 60% and 80%, starting December 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) brings together the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation services, the Leenaards Memory Center, the neuroscience research center, and the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalized care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from brain to muscle.
The University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN) is involved in the treatment of all types of nervous system injuries (traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, encephalitis, etc.). The service provides highly specialized and interdisciplinary care throughout the patients' recovery process, from inpatient to outpatient phases.
Mission
- You provide clinical services under the supervision and guidance of FSP specialist neuropsychologists and the senior physician, to people with brain injuries followed in the different sectors and sites of the Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Service (SUN) at CHUV
- You participate in clinical, family, and network meetings, and contribute to the interdisciplinary coordination of care
- You ensure the administrative follow-up related to your services (planning, billing, documentation)
- You collaborate, by delegation, with interdisciplinary working groups of the SUN service or the Department of Clinical Neurosciences
- You contribute to the development of diagnostic and rehabilitation tools and actively participate in research projects conducted within the service
- You take part in teaching and continuing education activities, sharing your knowledge and enriching your clinical practice.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in psychology or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least one year of clinical experience at 50% in the field of neuropsychology, as a trainee psychologist.
- You have solid theoretical knowledge in neuropsychology, both in assessment and rehabilitation.
- You are fluent in French, both spoken and written, have good knowledge of English, especially for scientific reading, and have a good knowledge of at least one foreign language, allowing you to conduct an examination and, if necessary, treatment in that language.
- You master basic computer tools.
- You hold a driving license.
The salary class will be between level 09 and 11, depending on the candidate’s profile.
