Clerk for Forest Development
Office for Forest and Natural Hazards | 80-100% (job sharing possible) | Chur
The Office for Forest and Natural Hazards (AWN) is the cantonal specialist office for the forest and protection against natural hazards. The employees of the AWN advocate for the needs of society regarding the forest and ensure that the forest is managed sustainably.
You ensure that the Graubünden forest
- can protect people, animals, and infrastructure,
- is a habitat for diverse animal and plant species,
- is a raw material supplier of wood, water, and energy,
- can continue to be a recreational and leisure area for people.
We are looking for a Clerk for Forest Development (80-100%; job sharing possible) starting August 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Management of the cantonal collective project for restoration of development
- Review and assessment of development projects and execution of the corresponding approval procedures
- Implementation of structural measures within the framework of the Forest Fire Prevention 2030 concept
- Taking over project planning, project and construction management, as well as processing technical basics
- Active participation in the establishment and further development of the cantonal forest development cadastre
- Collaboration with regional development specialists, cantonal and federal specialist offices, and other partners
What we expect from you
- Forestry engineer or civil engineer ETH or FH, forester HF, or an equivalent education in construction, forestry, or environmental field
- Professional experience in construction and project management
- Good GIS and IT skills
- Initiative, team-oriented, and reliable
- General working language is German; good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
