As a software architect and team leader, you take on a key role in the planning and implementation of software projects and architectural initiatives. You are responsible for leading the development team of eight people, ensuring open communication, and motivating the team to deliver high-quality work. You set goals and help achieve them. Additionally, you actively participate in the implementation of architecture-relevant initiatives. As an architect, you should also keep an eye on trends and innovations in the software field to inform the team about new technologies and methods and, if necessary, try out new approaches. These roles require a strong technical foundation as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and the ability to understand and lead both technical and non-technical stakeholders are also crucial.
- You support our customers in the introduction of new software releases as well as the Scrum teams in implementing the microservice architecture
- You keep an eye on technical debt, prioritize its resolution, and drive technical improvements
- You take on the technical lead in projects, drive architecture discussions, make proposals, and discuss solutions for our products
- You value clean architecture documentation and also implement it
- You support the further development of our CI/CD pipeline and the monitoring of the application within a Kubernetes cluster
- You are the technical contact and advisor for the agile software development teams and communicate complex content and concepts clearly
- You advise and analyze customer inquiries and provide technical customer support
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead
- Degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
- Very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Quarkus, microservices architectures, and Maven
- Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, Hibernate, and Liquibase)
- Familiar with cloud and container technologies as well as platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab
- You are a team player and a communicative personality with high initiative who enjoys developing technically and methodically
- You are a pragmatic problem solver and can think and act in terms of options and their associated consequences
- You take leadership in technical matters, lead discussions purposefully, and guide the team to a broadly supported solution finding.
- Very good language skills in German and English
