We are opening a unique key position at Thommen Group for future leaders. In this role, you will be specifically prepared within one year to take on a leadership position in one of our recycling plants (approx. 30 employees).
You will work directly with management, gain insight into strategic and operational corporate management, and gradually take on responsibility in our production and recycling processes.
After a structured development year, you will be qualified to take on a leadership role in the operational environment of one of our sites and gradually assume leadership responsibility.
Your tasks
1. Close collaboration with the CEO / Site Manager / Regional Manager
- Supporting the CEO/Site Manager in daily business and operational decision-making processes
- Analyzing, controlling, and improving internal processes
- Interface and link between CEO/Site Manager/Regional Manager and their direct reports
- Preparation of strategic and operational decision-making bases
2. Operational and technical training ("on the job")
- Deep immersion in the production and recycling processes of the Thommen Group
- Participation in areas such as controlling & key figures, production control, material flow / substance flow / logistics, occupational safety, maintenance & plant management, etc.
- Gradual assumption of own areas of responsibility
3. Leadership & plant management
- Taking on initial leadership tasks within the team
- Support in shift planning, resource management, and process optimization
- Participation in investment projects, plant modernizations, and efficiency improvements
4. Goal after 12-18 months:
Assuming a responsible role within the Thommen Group
- Responsibility for site employees, a site sub-area, or a line function
- Leadership, budget responsibility, production and quality control
- Implementation of the corporate strategy at the site
Your profile
- Technical or business background
- e.g. mechanical engineering, metal processing, production engineering, industrial engineering
- or solid experience in the metal processing industry, waste management, logistics, recycling
- Operational understanding of production processes
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with technical processes and machines
- Leadership understanding, empathy, and decisiveness
- Analytical thinking, numerical understanding (basic controlling)
- Communication skills and enjoyment of responsibility
- Desire to take over site management within one year
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
