Presentation
To complete its team, the Institute of Psychology at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is seeking a first assistant in clinical or developmental psychology.
Your activities :
• Research (50%) : carrying out personal research projects and scientific publications (articles, conference presentations, e.g. based on secondary data; design, data collection & analysis, publication & scientific communication); contributing to research conducted by Professor Jopp and members of the research group.
• Teaching (50%) : assisting in the preparation and delivery of courses taught by the professor in charge; participating in the supervision of students' personal work; participating in course examinations and participating in the administrative tasks of the Research Centre, Institute or Faculty.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years

Your responsibilities

50% of working hours will be devoted to personal research: personal research project and scientific promotion (articles, conference presentations);
-
50% of the working hours will be dedicated to teaching support: participation in the supervision of student dissertations, participation in the correction of teacher examinations, co-facilitation and organisation of seminars, collaboration on team research projects.
Participation in the administrative and organisational tasks of the institute and/or faculty will be required.
Your qualifications
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
• PhD in psychology or equivalent qualification; specialisation in adult development and ageing psychology (vulnerability; resilience; resources; critical life events; very old age) is an asset.
• Experience with and interest in quantitative and longitudinal methods (e.g., psychometric analyses, multilevel analysis, SEM, growth curve analysis, survival analysis).
• Motivation to engage in research in the field of adult development and ageing psychology (vulnerability; resilience; resources; critical life events; very old age);
• Good knowledge of quantitative methods used in this field;
• Proficiency in SPSS, R, or M+;
• High organisational skills, ability to work in a team, ease in designing and implementing educational and research projects.
• Proficiency in French, good knowledge of English;
• Interests in advancing an academic career in the field of adult development/ageing;
• Interest in promoting research orally and in writing;
• Interest in teaching;
