Are you ready for a job where you can make a meaningful impact for people and nature? We are looking for two garden monument conservators at 80% workload each, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Tasks
- You are jointly responsible for the historic gardens and sites of the city of Zurich, advocating for their preservation and protection, monument-appropriate maintenance, as well as conveying knowledge through public relations
- You represent and communicate the concerns of Green City Zurich to various stakeholders (municipal, cantonal), with a focus on implementing the ISOS inventory adjustments
- You assess construction projects, advise clients, lead protection clarifications and related legal transactions, and participate in overarching planning
- You advise the city maintenance managers on value-preserving care of our historic sites and develop and draft maintenance plans
Profile
- Completed studies in landscape architecture or comparable training with a focus on garden monument preservation, as well as further training in project management
- Several years of professional experience and industry knowledge with in-depth and current expertise in design and garden monument preservation issues, as well as knowledge of key legal foundations in planning law and cultural guidelines
- Interest in contributing and representing your concerns in challenging projects and in the interface between politics and administration
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams, strong negotiation skills, and a holistic perspective
- Confident oral and written communication skills as well as high independence and personal responsibility
