Presentation
To complete its team, the Institute of Psychology of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is looking for a first assistant at 80% in transcultural clinical psychology.
The position is under the responsibility of Eva Heim, associate professor, and is part of the Family and Development Research Center (FADO, https://www.unil.ch/fado/en/home.html).

Start date: 01.05.2026
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Activity rate: 80%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Gross annual salary: CHF 83,160.- at 100%, increasing each year according to the scale
Your Activities
Task description:
- At least 50% of the activity rate will be dedicated to personal research: Personal research project and scientific valorization (articles, presentations at conferences), collaboration on team projects (active involvement in research projects on complex post-traumatic stress disorder in refugee populations)
- Up to 50% of the activity rate will be devoted to teaching support: Participation in supervising students' theses, participation in grading exams of the teacher, co-leading and organizing seminars
Participation in administrative and organizational tasks of the Family and Development Research Center FADO and the Institute and/or Faculty will be required.

Your Profile
We wish to hire, to complete our team, a person with the following profile:
- PhD in Psychology or Social Sciences.
- Interest in pursuing research activities in the field of transcultural clinical psychology, related to the research interests of Prof. Eva Heim
- Interest in teaching transcultural clinical psychology
- Interest in qualitative and quantitative methods
- Cultural and structural competence and humility, or interest in acquiring it
- Writing skills
- Fluency in French and very good knowledge of scientific English
- Organizational skills, ability to work autonomously and independently, and within a research team
