We are looking for an Expert Engineer to join our team in the BU Service and play a key role in shaping the future of our products and technologies. In this role, you will bring your deep technical expertise, strategic mindset, and hands‑on problem‑solving skills to projects that directly impact our success. How you’ll make an impact
- Close collaboration with R&D departments and build-up of technical expertise in fields like IEC/IEEE Standards, very fast transients (VFTs), dielectrics, thermal, earthing concepts, circuit breakers and insulation gases
- Providing internal trainings for Technics
- Providing mechanical and electrotechnical expertise and taking decisions in complex troubleshooting cases, customer projects and quality cases
- Creation and release of technical reports and statements towards customers
- Close collaboration with sales: Support in customer meetings, review and analysis of complex customer specifications, providing technical trainings to sales colleagues
- 10-20% of travelling
Your background
- Master in electrical engineering or physics with vast technical knowhow and knowledge in high voltage applications and gas-insulated switchgears
- 5 years minimum experience in R&D environment
- Analytical work methodology, engaged, and cost-conscious
- Independent, well-structured, and reliable way of working, with self-control of activities and a distinct ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills to lead technical meetings both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
- Fluency in English; German is an advantage
