Your tasks
You are responsible for implementing integrative school social work in the 5 school facilities of Münchenstein (primary school including kindergarten). You accompany and advise students as well as parents, teachers, and school administrations. You also coordinate contacts with other specialist offices and engage in class, group, and school projects with the aim of prevention, early detection, and addressing social problems. In your work, you collaborate closely with the school administration, teachers, and the Social Services department.
Our expectations
You have completed training in social work (FH/HF). Further training in school social work, as well as in conflict management/mediation or systemic counseling, is a great advantage. You have several years of professional experience as a school social worker or generally in advisory work with children, adolescents, and parents. A high degree of independence and resilience is an important prerequisite for this task. Networked thinking and acting, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., child protection law contexts), are natural for you. In addition, you are communicative, capable of handling conflicts, and have a flair for organization.
If you have any questions, the Head of Child and Adult Protection, Daniel Morgenthaler, is happy to assist you at the phone number 061 416 11 42.
