About the job
The Interest Group for Social Psychiatry Zurich (IGSP) has been committed to people with mental disabilities for 55 years. This is done with various offers in the area of supported and assisted living as well as in outpatient outreach services. Our goal: People with mental disabilities lead as independent a life as possible and can participate in society. Three points are central: We meet each other with respect and on equal footing. We work goal-oriented with the resources that the client brings. And we see the individual person as a whole.
The Fellenberg residential group is located in a new building in Zurich-Albisrieden. The average age of the 12 young adults is 23 years. The central goal of our cooperation is to develop as much independence as possible, whether in everyday life and household management, in perceiving a daily structure, or learning a profession.
Within walking distance, in a bright maisonette apartment, is the associated Langgrüt external residential group. It offers 5 young adults a suitable framework to expand and strengthen their own independence. An external daily structure as well as the willingness to take responsibility in communal coexistence are required here.
From April 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for a SPECIALIST SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY 60 - 90% with training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy (HF/FH).
Main tasks
- Goal- and resource-oriented support of young adults
- Support in everyday life as well as in crisis situations
- Responsibility as a reference person and support in individual development steps
- Collaboration with external contacts and institutions
- Guidance in learning practical everyday skills
- Promotion of social skills and support of group dynamic processes
Profile:
- Training in psychiatric nursing or social pedagogy at HF/FH level
- Professional experience in psychiatry or supported living
- Structured working method, networked thinking, and enjoyment of collaboration
- Good IT skills and differentiated ability to express oneself
- Integrity, enthusiasm, and resilience with high social skills
- Household skills including cooking as well as organizational talent
