The Vetsuisse Faculty is one of the leading veterinary faculties in Europe, educating around 400 students at the Bern location and employing over 600 staff.

The Informatics of the Vetsuisse Faculty plays a central role in supporting and optimizing all scientific core processes. Thanks to continuous digitization and targeted standardization, it ensures a seamless, smooth data flow without media discontinuity. We place special emphasis on homogeneity: for comparable requirements, we rely on proven, professional solutions, thus creating the highest level of efficiency and stability. At the same time, we consider subject-specific requirements to offer tailored solutions for all areas. We rely on innovative technologies, agile methods, and close collaboration with internal and external partners.

For the professional support of the scientific disciplines, we are looking for an experienced ICT supporter with a focus on "Windows" based scientific informatics infrastructure.

• Coordination of requirements and support cases with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers.
• Support and further development of the clinical, scientific, and medical application landscape including documentation.
• Procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software for workstation systems, mobile devices, servers, network, and medical/scientific end devices.
• Conducting fault analyses and support (incident handling, troubleshooting, escalation management).
• Ensuring operation, including monitoring availability, inventory maintenance, and updating operational documents.
• Supporting departments in IT projects, including requirements management, consulting, and assistance with procurement and implementation of solutions.
• Automation and optimization, e.g., through scripts, software evaluation, and solving interface and conversion problems.

• IT specialist EFZ, business informatics specialist EFZ, or ICT specialist EFZ with at least 4 years of professional experience
• Practical experience in the operational management of software and hardware in scientific or hospital environments
• Good social skills, especially communication and teamwork skills
• Customer-oriented working style
• Conceptual skills
• Independence, personal commitment, and high flexibility
• Outgoing personality and willingness to quickly familiarize with new work areas
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
