Support our Financial Services team in accounting-related consulting and auditing of global, systemically important, but also local financial institutions in Switzerland while completing your training to become a certified public accountant. Your main tasks
- You primarily advise our consulting clients (banks, insurance companies, investment funds, etc.) on the interpretation of accounting standards (IFRS, Swiss GAAP FER)
- You further support our audit teams as an expert for complex accounting-related issues that arise during our audit activities
- Occasionally, you will also be deployed as an accounting expert on non-assurance mandates. For example, you support EY Parthenon in analyzing the accounting implications of a planned corporate acquisition
- While gaining deep insights into the Swiss financial industry and the business of various financial service providers through these activities, you complete your training to become a certified public accountant
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance (university or university of applied sciences)
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken. French and/or Italian are an advantage
- You want to become a certified public accountant and specialize in the financial industry
- You are resilient, flexible, and reliable. You are polite and helpful, especially when things get hectic
- You are curious and want to continuously deepen your expertise. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you already have a basic understanding of IFRS 9, IFRS 17, FINMA regulations, accounting according to Swiss GAAP FER, US GAAP
- You are flexible and open regarding your mandates: You feel equally comfortable on audit mandates as you do as an accounting consultant in an M&A transaction or in a GAAP conversion project
