Office for Industry and Trade (KIGA) | 80-100% | Chur
The Office for Industry, Trade and Labor (KIGA) currently employs around 135 staff in six regions in the canton of Graubünden. In addition to public employment services (RAV), we organize labor market measures for job seekers and manage the cantonal unemployment fund. Furthermore, we carry out various tasks in the areas of labor market and occupational safety.
We are looking for a clerk for unemployment compensation (80-100%) for the Graubünden Unemployment Fund department starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Reviewing and processing applications for unemployment compensation, including careful verification of eligibility and calculation of benefits
- Correct and timely payment of insurance benefits
- Competent and service-oriented telephone, written, and, if necessary, personal advice to insured persons regarding their claims, payment dates, and other relevant questions
- Coordination and exchange with other social insurers as well as with other departments of the office (especially RAV)
- Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification, ideally with experience in social insurance (federal specialist certificate for social insurance specialists is an advantage)
- A flair for numbers as well as a precise, structured way of working
- Very good IT skills, especially in the use of MS Office
- Friendly and professional appearance as well as the ability to explain complex matters simply and understandably
- Responsible, resilient, and independent personality
- Flexibility and reliability as well as teamwork skills
- Good oral and written German skills, knowledge of Italian is an advantage
