Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child assistance , emergency reception , family support , and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva and has 500 places for minors and young adults, offering ambulatory educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ regularly seeks civilians for its various structures to provide help and support to the educational team. We are looking for a civilian assistant educator for its Chalet Savigny home, which accommodates children aged 2 to 12 years on a medium and long-term basis.
Job Description
Civilian positions are only for persons admitted to civil service by official decision of the Federal Office for Civilian Service.
- 35% Daily support
Support within the institution in all daily life activities: getting up, meals, hygiene, going to bed. - 15% Case follow-up
Participation in meetings on educational attitudes, meetings with families and/or social workers. - 25% Support in schooling
Help and supervision in the young person's academic progress (e.g., homework follow-up). - 25% Support in leisure activities
Active participation in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities and leisure, preparation and implementation of the project, coordination and management of the annual camp, as well as the submission of accounts at the end of the camp.
Activity rate: 100%
Start date: as soon as possible, to be agreed upon during the interview
Duration of the assignment: minimum 3 months

Qualifications
- Interest in the social/educational environment with children and pre-adolescents.
- Ease of contact, sense of responsibility, flexibility, dynamic spirit, and adaptability.
