About the job
Lawyer 80%The Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs is one of seven directorates of the Zurich Government Council. Our exceptionally broad field of activity ranges from law enforcement to cultural promotion. The General Secretariat supports the head of the directorate as a staff unit, provides services for its units, and manages its own projects.
To complete our team in the legal service, we are looking for a female or male lawyer (80%) starting June 2026 or by agreement.
Your tasks
- Implementation of legislative projects
- Collaboration in the legislative service (review of draft laws)
- Handling of legal remedies
- Processing of parliamentary initiatives and consultations
Your profile
- You have a completed law degree (Master) and an additional qualification (lawyer's license, dissertation, or LL.M.) and already have experience in constitutional and administrative law
- You are interested both in concrete legal issues and in political developments
- You enjoy handling specific individual cases as well as larger legislative projects in various areas of law
- You work independently, analytically, precisely, solution-oriented, and do not lose sight of the big picture with a pragmatic view
- You seek exchange with colleagues and are not afraid to assert your position with determination and persistence
