Medical secretary for the Neonatology Service of the DFME
The Woman-Mother-Child Department is looking for a medical secretary at a 60% rate, starting March 1, 2026, to provide administrative support to the medical and nursing team of the Neonatology Service.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME) includes the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
- You ensure the production and flow of medical documents and information for the service
- You guarantee quality physical and telephone reception for the service for patients, families, visitors, and collaborators
- You actively contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the service's offerings
- You provide varied administrative support to the service (material orders, taking minutes during meetings, etc.)
Profile
- You have completed training as a medical secretary and/or a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 2 years of successful experience in the medical field
- You have perfect command of French spelling and knowledge of the healthcare system
- You have very good knowledge of medical terminology
- You are a versatile, organized, and autonomous person
- Your collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills, and priority management allow you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You have the ability to handle a busy workload and work in a multidisciplinary team
- You are comfortable with MS Office software and ideally with CHUV IT tools (Axya, Ultragenda, Medex, Soarian, and Archimède).
