On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the secondary school community and the city of Kreuzlingen will celebrate the successful completion of the joint project Bad Egelsee with an inauguration festival.
The inauguration festival will officially hand over the Bad Egelsee to the public. The new building for competitive swimmers and a sauna area has been in operation since autumn 2023. Now the existing part of the pool has also been renovated. This area is primarily attractive for families with children, school classes, aquafit groups, and older bathers. The main attraction is the 40-meter-long water slide.
The varied program points at the festival are provided by the students of the Egelsee school center as well as numerous associations and clubs that regularly use the Egelsee area. From 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, there will be a sports program to participate in, various musical highlights on stage, tours of the pool including its technical rooms, art on the building, and of course a rich festival catering. In addition, the visiting days at the Egelsee school center and a class reunion will take place in the morning.
The official opening ceremony starts at 1:30 PM in the arena with invited guests, including government president Dominik Diezi. The opening ceremony will be moderated by the co-presidency Silva Cornel and Marco Pätzold. The organizers look forward to numerous guests; the first 1000 will receive free entry to the Bad Egelsee, which will not be in operation during the inauguration festival. The overall operation will commence after the summer holidays on August 2, 2025. Due to limited parking availability, travel by public transport, by bike, or on foot is recommended.
