The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team focused on Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) development. In this role, you will contribute to the mechanical design and optimization of cutting-edge high-voltage products, working collaboratively within a dynamic R&D environment.
How you’ll make an impact

Development of new GIS products applying international standards, design guidelines, and internal processes

Planning and execution of project activities with support of project management tools

Design of GIS components and modules by 3D creation and simulations

Technical product documentation by writing reports and instructions

Collaboration with globally distributed partners, e.g., product Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Lines and R&D Centres

Analysis and solution of interdisciplinary problems involving testing laboratories and production lines
Your background

You hold a Masters' or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area

Experience and interest to work with 3D CAD design, ERP and PLM software and tools

Project management and good communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment

Hands-on, creative, independent, and solution-oriented professional
-
Knowledge regarding quality, reliability and/or manufacturing / assembly is a plus
