Your Tasks
- Responsibility for the strategic planning and further development of the ICT system and application portfolio of the Cantonal Police of Bern
- Ensuring that the portfolio meets the business processes and needs of our internal stakeholders
- First point of contact for service users and responsible for the continuous review of the cost-effectiveness of project and service portfolios
- Implementation of new requirements, e.g. due to legal changes, new systems, or changing user needs
- Management and support of ICT projects (according to HERMES 5), including leading project teams and coordinating large projects
- Planning and conducting procurements according to GATT/WTO guidelines in close coordination with the cost center manager
Your Profile
- IT education, supplemented with further training at the HF or FH level
- Several years of experience in managing IT projects and leading interdisciplinary project teams
- Solid knowledge of the project management method HERMES or willingness to quickly acquire this knowledge
- High customer orientation, resilience, and solution-oriented and networked thinking
- Strong conceptual skills and the ability to analyze complex issues in a structured manner and develop comprehensible decision-making bases
- Confident appearance, assertiveness, negotiation skills, and a target-oriented, clear communication style
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as good knowledge of French
- Willingness to take on on-call duty
- Driving license category B
