The MESS team is responsible for the operation and continuous development of the standard software solutions SWIFT and EBICS, which are essential for secure and efficient payment transactions. SWIFT enables the international exchange of payment data between banks and financial institutions, while EBICS serves as a communication standard for companies to securely communicate with us as a bank, exchange data, and authorize payments. Additionally, a new product will soon be offered, which is also managed by the DevOps team.

With an eleven-member interdisciplinary team of dedicated specialists and IT experts, the DevOps MESS team ensures smooth integration of the systems. The team combines technical know-how with a deep understanding of business processes to provide reliable solutions.

Your focus includes all dimensions of integrating purchased software into our IT landscape, as well as tasks related to software architecture. This includes taking responsibility, coordinating with software partners and various internal competence centers, and hands-on work with the team.

We are looking for a solution-oriented and team-capable personality with a high willingness to learn, broad IT competence, and experience in agile working methods such as Kanban, Scrum, and SAFe.

Your tasks

Implement exciting projects in the field of payment transactions and work with agile methods (SAFe)
Act as the central interface between business units, software suppliers, software development, and other IT departments (e.g., security, architecture, infrastructure)
Contribute your ideas and expertise to a motivated DevOps team and actively shape the further development of processes and solutions
Responsible for the software architecture of the solutions within the team
Integrate and operate software solutions in the application landscape of Zürcher Kantonalbank in close collaboration with business units and software manufacturers
Work closely with various business units and infrastructure teams

Your profile

Solid experience as an application manager or system integrator throughout the entire lifecycle of a business application – from initial introduction through operation to further development of purchased software
Team player who enjoys tackling new topics and sharing know-how
Good practical knowledge of Linux servers, Unix shell scripting, databases, and application connections to surrounding systems
System integration and architecture patterns are familiar to you
You are confident in using modeling languages such as UML and ideally have an architecture certification (e.g., ISAQB)
Knowledge of infrastructure platforms such as IBM MQ Series, LINUX, Oracle DB/PostgreSQL, certificates, Enterprise and Active Directory is an advantage
You enjoy working with different stakeholders at eye level and convince with strong communication skills
Very good German skills (at least C1) in spoken and written form as well as good English skills (at least B2)
