The Traffic Unit (EG-Verkehr) is part of the Winterthur City Police and ensures safety on our streets day and night. Working in traffic police requires flexibility, resilience, and a high level of responsibility. To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a police officer with experience and enthusiasm for traffic police operations.

Your tasks

• Patrol service with radio patrol vehicles and operational motorcycles
• Control of stationary and moving traffic
• Conducting traffic police focus controls
• Specialist responsibility in various topics
• Intervention in disturbances and conflicts in the traffic area and additionally support of other police services as needed

Your profile

• Completed training as a police officer with a federal specialist certificate or diploma
• Strong interest in traffic police topics
• Pronounced social and communication skills as well as confident and correct appearance
• Resilience physically and mentally
• Enjoyment in contact with people of diverse backgrounds and life realities
