The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, controlling and operational tasks mainly in social assistance, social insurance, social services and in the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organizations. It also runs its own facility, tilia, based in Rheinau, which has over 124 residential and employment places, divided into 13 residential groups and 5 studio areas. The locations are Rheinau, Winterthur, Embrach and Freienstein.
The Holder residential group is conceptually designed to care for residents with varying degrees of intellectual and/or psychological impairments and complex behaviors such as external and self-aggression. The residents rely on help and support in all areas of life. It has 8 places for people who require highly structured, close, pedagogical care.
For this residential group, we are looking for a caregiver 90% starting October 1, 2025, or by arrangement.

Your main tasks
- You support and accompany the residents in everyday structure and in coping with crises and exceptional situations in close, pedagogical care
- You create appropriate support plans and reports within the key worker system, ensure process-oriented implementation and regularly review them in location and case discussions
- You organize activities with the residents and maintain contact with relatives and third parties
- You promote the residents in all personal and practical life matters, in shaping coexistence within the residential group as well as in maintaining social contacts and performing household tasks
Your skills and talents
- You have a degree as a social pedagogue (FH/HF), as a certified nurse, as a care specialist or an equivalent qualification
- You have professional experience working with people with intellectual and/or psychological impairments
- You are responsible, resilient, proactive and have organizational talent as well as high social competence
- You can handle challenging and complex care situations, are not afraid of nursing tasks and enjoy working independently
- You are communicative, have proficient PC skills and good written expression
