Your team
Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 800 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units and include the Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk and Tax departments.
You will join our Group Corporate Affairs & Public Policy team within Group Legal to provide support, guidance and advice on corporate governance to the Group’s governing bodies.
Your role
In this role, you will support the Group Corporate Secretary in ensuring the effective governance and functioning of the governing bodies of the Pictet Group’s and Banque Pictet SA in Switzerland, while providing expert advice on corporate governance and supervisory best practices.
The key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, attending and following up on senior management and board meetings, and interacting with auditors and Swiss and foreign supervisory authorities and agencies.
- Managing documents and records for proper documentation and providing support to legal entities and business lines across the Group.
- Acting as a back-up for the Group Corporate Secretary.
- Providing advice on corporate governance and supervisory expectations, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, monitoring regulatory developments in corporate governance and company law, and leading or supporting relevant group-wide projects and implementations across the Group.
- Organising and managing the network of Corporate Secretaries for the Group’s legal entities.
Your profile
- Master’s in law and member of the bar.
- Expertise in corporate law and governance principles, as well as financial regulations.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in the financial industry, a law firm, auditor, consultancy or financial authority or 5 years’ work experience as a Corporate Secretary in financial or other industry.
- Detail oriented, extremely organised, structured mindset, strong sense of discretion, excellent networking skills, comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Team player, (internal) client oriented, solution driven.
- Excellent command of French and English; German is an asset.
- Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
