Measurement Technician 60–80%
Have you always wanted to know where the wind is coming from?
Then you are in the right place with us! Because we design, install, and operate weather stations, environmental measurements, and camera systems. We process, analyze, and visualize the measurement data in web applications for authorities, research institutions, and private companies.
Meteotest develops leading products and services to accelerate the energy transition and manage the impacts of weather and climate change. With personal commitment, scientific expertise, and modern technology, we create decision-making certainty for our customers.
We are looking for you
As a measurement technician, you take responsibility for the technical implementation in our projects. You develop measurement concepts in a team that integrate efficiently into our existing hardware and software environment.
During execution, you assemble measurement stations both mechanically and electrically in the workshop, configure and test them. Regardless of weather conditions, you install the stations outdoors, occasionally at exposed locations.
You are responsible for commissioning and maintaining measurement stations. In case of malfunctions, you go on-site to independently or collaboratively find solutions and ensure the proper functioning of the systems. Furthermore, you are responsible for creating documentation and schematics of the installed systems to ensure traceability.
Your profile
You have a technical education (automation technician, electronics technician, electrician, or similar) with manual skills. You have several years of professional experience in measurement technology or a comparable activity. You bring IT skills, e.g., for creating schematics or logger programming. Specific knowledge of meteorological or environmental measurements rounds off your profile.
You are physically fit and enjoy working outdoors, where our measurement stations are located. You are not afraid of heights and ideally have training for working on hanging ropes, including experience with personal fall protection equipment (PSAgA). You enjoy traveling by car throughout Switzerland and have a driving license.
You appreciate collaboration with our customers and professionals from different business areas. As a person who likes to share knowledge, you are characterized by good communication skills and a sense of responsibility. In addition to fluent German, you bring good English and French skills. We look forward to your efficient and result-oriented working style as well as your pronounced personal responsibility.
Benefits
At Meteotest, no one works just for the money. We value meaningful work topics, a lot of personal responsibility, broad scope for co-creation, as well as versatile and interdisciplinary teamwork.
We offer you an exciting opportunity to combine office work and outdoor work – sometimes even in alpine terrain. Our working time models are flexible with above-average social benefits.
