Nurse in Technical Units in the Cardiology Department
We are looking for a qualified nurse on a permanent contract at 80% - 100% for the interventional radiology and cardiac electrophysiology sectors starting February 1, 2026 (or date to be agreed).
Attached to the Cardiology Department of the Heart-Vessels Department (DCV), the activity takes place in 7 rooms; two angiography rooms, four interventional radiology rooms, and one electrophysiology room. Irregular working hours with on-call shifts 7/7.

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The cardiovascular field is one of the centers of excellence that our institution wishes to strengthen. To achieve this strategic axis, the General Management decided to bring together from January 1, 2017, under a single department cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, angiology, and the experimental cardiology unit.
The medical expertise and state-of-the-art equipment of these services allow offering patients the best possible care and ensuring the training and research expected of a university hospital, with multiple national and international collaborations.
Mission
- You welcome, accompany, and prepare patients
- You ensure patient care during various interventions (cardiac, vascular, neurological, and digestive angiographies of stable and unstable patients)
- You will have responsibility for instrumentation and image management via a computer console
- You manage the transfer of patients to the appropriate service.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title, as well as recognition from the Red Cross for staff qualified abroad, mandatory)
- You have at least 5 years of professional experience in an acute care unit
- You have solid experience in cardiology or intermediate care or intensive care (an asset)
- You are willing to follow a certified training in intermediate care
- You are up to date with your BLS-AED training
- You have excellent clinical judgment, anticipation skills, and reactivity
- You are rigorous and precise, responsible, proactive, adaptable, and technically skilled
- You demonstrate flexibility to work in a multidisciplinary team in a constantly evolving environment
- You have the ability to manage stress and act in emergency situations
- You are able to perform night and weekend on-call shifts.
