At BWZ Rapperswil-Jona, we train more than 1,100 apprentices in the departments of Commercial-Industrial Professions, Commercial Professions/Retail, and Vocational Baccalaureate/IMS. We offer the full range of basic education: certificate programs, three- and four-year apprenticeships, apprenticeships with vocational baccalaureate, and also a technical computer science middle school. The Rapperswil Academy offers courses and training programs and runs a Higher Technical School for Business.

Head of Facility Services (Deputy)

What to expect

• Overall responsibility for maintenance and preservation, cleaning, and upkeep of the entire school facility (buildings, building services, outdoor areas)
• Maintenance / monitoring and inspection of technical equipment
• Cleaning, maintenance, and repair work
• Leadership and coordination of cleaning staff
• Ensuring efficient organization for building cleaning, disposal, minor maintenance, building security, event management, small relocations, and access systems
• Participation in cross-departmental projects (e.g., member of the emergency staff)
• Planning and supervision of renovations and refurbishments

What distinguishes you

• Basic training as a specialist in operational maintenance EFZ with professional experience, caretaker with a federal certificate of competence, or many years of experience in the field of caretaking / technical service
• Leadership experience, good manners, and communication skills
• Enjoy working with young people and collaborating with teachers, administration, and other external persons
• Technically inclined
• Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours
• Driver's license category B
• Trainer or willingness to obtain this qualification
