In addition to the historical permanent exhibition, we offer temporary exhibitions on current social and digital topics as well as workshops and events on new technologies such as AI, VR, 3D printing and games.

For our diverse mediation activities, we are looking for a person to complement our existing guide team as

Guide for Mediation of History and Digital at the Aarau City Museum (hourly wage)

Your main tasks

• Workshops with school classes (3D printing, programming, Minecraft, AI)
• Deployments in the DigiSpace – our experience and experimentation lab
• Collaboration in studios and events (e.g. Museum Day, holiday pass)
• Tours with adult groups and school classes in the temporary exhibitions
• Support of software and technical devices

Your profile

• Background in media, photography, art or cultural history
• Interest in new technologies, games, 3D printing and AI
• Enjoyment in contact with groups and school classes
• Independent working style and time flexibility (Tue–Fri, weekend deployments possible)
• Residence in the Aarau area/Canton Aargau is an advantage
