We are a modern police force with 85 employees ensuring safety and order. The Specialist Service Operations and Leadership within the Special Services department, together with the Cantonal Emergency Call Center, is the hub for emergencies and operations in the canton of Glarus. Here, the operations managers work with a modern operations control system at a technically well-equipped workstation with over 30 auxiliary systems and handle all incoming emergency calls related to accidents, natural events, conflicts, and any inquiries from the public.
For the Cantonal Emergency Call Center, we are looking for an
Operations Manager Specialist Service Operations and Leadership 100%
immediately or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- First operations manager at the cantonal emergency call center
- Receiving all emergency calls, processing, and alerting partner organizations
- Supporting partner organizations within the corps and the canton such as fire department, medical services, etc.
- Data maintenance in the operations control system as well as administrative processing
- Working in day and shift service
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in the emergency services sector
- Federal specialist certificate as a police officer is an advantage
- Confident, resilient, and decisive personality with high social competence
- Enjoy working with technical aids and a strong willingness to learn new technologies
- Impeccable character and reputation
