Information Security Engineer (Geneva - Switzerland)
Join the FIA and contribute to the safeguarding of critical motorsport and mobility data. In this newly created role, as an Information Security Engineer, you will be working on the digital safety and integrity systems that protect the world’s leading motoring organisations.
As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a central role in driving the implementation of security policies across the organisation, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the FIA’s digital assets. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring compliance with international standards while maintaining the highest levels of technical excellence
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SECURITY ENGINEERING & ACCESS MANAGEMENT
- Deploy, maintain, integrate, and perform configuration of security tools.
- Manage user access controls, authentication mechanisms, and identity management systems to ensure appropriate levels of access and privilege.
- Manage and optimise security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, and identity & access management (IAM) solutions.
THREAT DETECTION & INCIDENT MANAGEMENT
- Coordinate and conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and address security weaknesses proactively.
- Lead incident response efforts to promptly detect, analyse, and mitigate security incidents and breaches. Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Monitor security logs and alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and respond to security events in real-time. Implement and maintain security tools and technologies to enhance our security posture.
GOVERNANCE & ADVISORY
- Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard FIA’s digital assets.
- Act as the Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all FIA departments, ensuring security best practices are integrated into daily operations.
- Oversee the security of FIA’s IT infrastructure, cloud services, and networks, ensuring effective protection against cyber threats
PROFILE:
- University degree (Master’s) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on hands-on security engineering and technical operations.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
- Mastery of security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), and penetration testing tools.
- Strong understanding of networking and cloud security principles (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in French is considered a significant advantage.
- High level of discretion and the ability to work with sensitive data in the strictest confidence.
This position is based at the FIA offices in Geneva and may require occasional international travel.
