Social Worker Adult Protection 60 - 80%The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. The Breitenstein Center is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counseling and is supported and co-financed by the municipalities of the Andelfingen district.
The Breitenstein Center provides social services in the areas of child and adult protection, personal assistance, counseling, and prevention for the population of the Andelfingen district. The offer is aimed at families, adolescents, children, as well as adults with special needs, social difficulties, and/or addiction problems.
The Breitenstein Center in Andelfingen is looking for an experienced and committed social worker for adult protection starting January 1, 2025, or by arrangement. Together with your team, you will manage guardianships for adults for 22 municipalities in the Andelfingen district, which have been ordered by the KESB Winterthur-Andelfingen. The self-determination and personal responsibility of the clients are always the priority.
Your tasks:
- Management of mandates according to the KESB order, mostly including administration of income and assets
- Writing applications and reports to authorities
- Representation in personal, legal, and financial matters
- Actively shaping the further development of professional guardianship
You bring:
- Completed degree in Social Work FH
- Professional experience in adult protection or social welfare
- In-depth knowledge of private law, social insurance law, and social welfare law
- Empathy towards people in difficult life situations
- Mental resilience and flexibility as well as confident negotiation skills
