Tasks:
- manages and supports the planning and implementation of watercourse regulation projects, monitors their progress and programming by clients for financial, technical, and environmental aspects related to the project, according to sustainability principles
- examines documents related to Territorial Development and Building Law, Road Law, and PGS procedures concerning watercourses and prepares sectoral positions to allow compliant and safe land use in relation to watercourses and lakes
- performs regulation of Lake Ceresio, acting as on-call staff, in accordance with regulations considering safety and environmental needs for lakeside residents and the emissary
- monitors cantonally competent storage facilities based on the Federal Law on Storage Facilities to ensure safety maintenance in the territory
- contributes to the collection of baseline data in the field of morphology of federally relevant watercourses and manages data for cantonally relevant watercourses to ensure availability for cantonal/local services and private users
- represents the Office in commissions and working groups for integrated water management, watercourse regulation, and risk management related to natural hazards
- participates in and implements general projects based on the project definition, offering all expertise to achieve the defined objective
- supports Office collaborators on technical issues of regulation, construction law and standards, and public contracts within activities and projects
Requirements:
- bachelor + master or bachelor as civil engineer
- good experience in hydraulic and environmental regulation of watercourses and civil engineering
- good experience in project management as project leader and site management in water management, watercourses, and water disposal
- good knowledge of regulations regarding building, public contracts, site management, and construction law
- good experience in managing procedures related to territorial development and building
- proficiency with conventional IT tools (Windows) and possibly geo-referenced territorial information systems (SIT/GIS)
- oral and written proficiency in Italian and knowledge of a second official language (French or German)
- initiative and ability to work independently and in a team
- flexibility and availability for irregular working hours under stress and on-call shifts
- excellent knowledge of the cantonal territory
Special notes:
- the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates with complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master, or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
– start of service from 01.05.2026
- the position of Scientific Collaborator II or Technical Collaborator (class 9) will be assigned to candidates with only a Bachelor or a short degree or candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master, or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)

Employment conditions:
