Swan is an internationally active SME based in the Zurich Oberland, which develops and produces high-quality measuring and control devices for online water analysis. We employ around 380 people at 15 locations worldwide and are known for our high quality in various industries such as drinking and wastewater, power plants, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, cooling and ultrapure water as well as steam and condensate.

We are looking for

For our motivated assembly team, a skilled craftsman who enjoys working independently and takes pleasure in craftsmanship. As a fitter, you will independently assemble partly complex systems (customised sampling systems for steam analysis in thermal power plants) based on P&ID diagrams, layouts (electrical diagrams) and material lists. You ensure that the specified quality standards, delivery deadlines and calculated assembly times are met.

That is why we want you

• Technical qualification EFZ or many years of experience in a craft profession
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical engineering
• Experience in reading diagrams
• Independent working style
• A craftsman through and through

We offer you interesting tasks

• Assembling and testing the systems according to the assembly dossier specifications and in cooperation with the project manager. This includes, among other things: mounting of channel rails, mounting of cable ducts according to layout, pulling in the necessary cables according to electrical diagram, mounting of measuring devices and sampling panels (according to P&ID diagram and layout), piping of measuring devices and sampling panels (including pipe bending), wiring of measuring devices according to electrical diagram in the control cabinet, testing the system according to internal test procedures.
• Updating the assembly dossier as needed
• Packing systems
• Commissioning systems on site (approx. 10% international travel)
