About the job

The Department of Aging and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of the City of Winterthur in the five senior centers as well as with Spitex.

For our long-term care at the Rosental Senior Center, which provides a well-maintained home for 107 residents, we are looking for a committed, communicative, and experienced leader as of October 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your Tasks

Ensuring resident-oriented, professional, and economical care and nursing while considering internal guidelines and participating in their further development

Leading and further developing the nursing management team

Collaboration with the management team and the site management of the Rosental Senior Center

Deputizing for the site management in their absence

Being responsible for a needs-based, demand-adjusted staffing ratio and appropriate deployment planning as well as for adhering to the agreed budget

Supporting operational conditions for maintaining and further developing the training mandate

Participating in overarching projects and specialist topics at the level of aging and care and cooperating with the heads of care and nursing of all senior centers and Spitex as well as other relevant stakeholders

Your Profile

Completed nursing education at tertiary level and solid leadership training in nursing management

Several years of professional and leadership experience in senior and care institutions is an advantage

Service-oriented attitude with the aim of providing residents with a life- and loveable home

Clear and structured leadership style combined with a pronounced willingness to innovate and develop as well as reliability

Business management knowledge and InterRAI LTCF knowledge are advantageous

High social competence, assertiveness, and reliability even in stressful situations

Team player

Quick comprehension, networked thinking with good analytical skills, and an understanding of overarching contexts
