As a Junior Buyer (w/m/d), you will dive into the world of our raw materials, packaging materials, and suppliers. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
Junior Buyer CH - Ovomaltine & Caotina (w/m/d) 80 -100%
- Operational & strategic purchasing: You support the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and 3rd-party products along the entire purchasing process, from offer comparisons and price updates to contract and master data management, as well as operational handling such as order processing, volume contracts, and reporting.
- Import & customs processes: You are the central contact person in purchasing for all topics related to import processing and customs processes and work closely with internal interfaces as well as external partners to ensure smooth workflows.
- Contract management & supplier approvals: You create and manage price master data in the ERP and actively participate in the supplier approval process to ensure quality and compliance standards.
- Supplier management: You are responsible for defined product groups and suppliers – from strategy to risk management – ensure availability together with the lead buyer, and further develop supplier performance, including handling complaints.
- Project support & sustainability: You work on group-wide projects (e.g., PPWR, Net Zero, or EU deforestation) and independently take on (partial) project responsibility.
- Process ownership: You act as a key user in the STP process, handle requirements, optimize workflows, and work closely with internal partners.
- Education & expertise: A commercial basic education as well as further training as a purchasing specialist, completed or planned. You have a basic understanding of customs and import requirements or are motivated to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Purchasing experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally in the food industry or a regulated production environment. Knowledge of the dairy industry is an advantage.
- System & tool competence: Good knowledge of SAP S4; ARIBA or K2 is a plus. In addition, you have a strong affinity for digital procurement tools and are interested in actively developing processes and sustainably reducing manual work efforts.
- Working style & mindset: You work structured, reliably, and solution-oriented and responsibly take on administrative as well as operational purchasing tasks. A pragmatic hands-on mentality and enjoyment of working in an international environment characterize you.
- Development & motivation: You aim to further develop in category management and gradually take on responsibility for additional product groups.
- Communication & languages: Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders in German and English; initial negotiation experience or negotiation skills are an advantage.
